(ASCEND) Pipeline 130 spontaneous reboot?

Hi all,

Has anyone come across a curious situation with a Pipeline-130
with 10bT and V.35 interfaces to spontaneously reboot every 2 mins
for about 2 hours straight?

This has been happening more and more frequently over the past
few months and is really getting annoying. The debug messages
show absolutely nothing of use.

The only things that I can find which can be a feasible cause
are either:

  1. Thermal problem (the pipe is in a comms cabinet which averages
in temp between 80F and 95F .. unfortunately the way the
building is designed, it is impossible to install aircon in
the comms closet, but since that is where our office leased line
is terminated, that is the only solution as far as location.

  2. A software glitch which causes the pipeline130 to reboot itself
if the one or more of the v.35 signals drop (DSR, etc.) I find
this one to be somewhat more feasible as my experience of pipelines
is that they are generally very temperature tolerant. The other
clue that I have for this one is that our upstream was experiencing
some "technical difficulties" with their Transfix circuits at the
time of the most recent outage.

Software version is 5.1Ap9

Any ideas?

Leland
