(ASCEND) strange usernames and passwords

I am getting some strange users trying to login when I restart my max
boxes.  

Some of these are:
User				Password	Error
bridge-max-01.qtz-1 		ascend 	User Not Found 
dovbs-1 			ascend 	User Not Found 
dovbs-max-01.qtz-1 		ascend 	User Not Found 
initial-banner 		ascend 	User Not Found 
initial-banner-max-01.qtz 	ascend 	User Not Found 
ipxroute-1 			ascend 	User Not Found 
ipxroute-max-01.qtz-1 	ascend 	User Not Found 

What are they and why do they try to log in.  They seem to do it on
most of my maxen so I am rather confused because I can't find those
users anywhere.
