(ASCEND) 7.3.1 for Pipelines 50/75/85 and Pipeline 220

TAOS Release 7.3.1 Software for Pipelines 50/75/85 and Pipeline 220 has
been given to Customer Support.

This release contains the following:

New Features:
* Bidirectional CHAP authentication

Corrections:
* TR 1850 A problem that resulted in all calls failing on 1TR6 has been
corrected.
* TR 2484 When Auto Logout was set to Yes and the serial cable was
unplugged, the Pipeline failed to detect
that DTR had dropped and consequently failed to change the console from a
Full Access profile to the default
security level (profile 1). The problem has been corrected.
* TR 2881 In the Connections profile, the default value of Telco Options >
AnsOrig changes when Telco
Options > Call Type changes. The default was changing incorrectly to Call
Only after Call Type changed from
Perm/Switched to Switched/Nailed MPP. This has been corrected. Now the
default value of AnsOrig is Both for
both of those call types.
* TR 3190 A problem that resulted in the failure of the combination NAT,
Frame Relay, and interface routing
has been corrected.
* TR 3307 The tsave command was not saving the Caller ID field, and when
trestore was used, the Caller ID
field was set to No incorrectly. The problem has been corrected.
* TR 4064 The Pipeline 220 supports as many as 31 connection profiles, but
could support only 8 PVCs (permanent virtual circuits). The problem has
been corrected, and the software now permits 31 active PVCs.
* TR 4122 A problem that resulted in the Pipeline 75 failing to show CLID
if the Calling Party field contained alphabetic characters has been corrected.
* TR 4129 The software load displayed a duplicate Sys Option status menu
instead of a HW Config menu. The problem has been corrected.
* TR 4152 In Singapore, outgoing calls on Pipeline 50/75/85 units with
U-BRI interfaces were failing with Alcatel switches. The problem has been
corrected.
* TR 4929 The default route created by Network Address Translation (NAT) at
the beginning of a session was being deleted when static routes were
updated. The problem has been corrected.
* TR 5193 A problem with IPsec packets created with MTU 1528 being
discarded on the WAN has been corrected.
* TR 258707 A problem that resulted in all calls failing on 1TR6 has been
corrected.
* TR 258795 Encaps Options > Send Name field was limited to 16 characters.
The length has been extended to 72 characters.
* TR 1000042 A problem that resulted in failure of FTP transactions running
from specific client addresses when using NAT on the Pipeline 75 has been
corrected.
* TR 1000216 In Korea, outgoing calls were failing on Pipeline 50/75/85
units with U-BRI interfaces. The problem has been corrected.
* On the Pipeline 220, a problem with encryption/decryption was resulting
in the unit failing under heavy IPsec traffic. The problem has been corrected.
* ICMP host-unreachable packets were being stopped at firewalls so that the
original IP traffic source was not being notified. The problem has been
corrected.
* A Pipeline configured for MP+ using Stac compression was dropping the
active B channel when attempting to add a second channel. The problem has
been corrected.
* A problem that resulted in an RTNAT problem with a tunneled data transfer
between two Pipelines has beencorrected.
