In my experience, the ISDN disconnect code is different from the Ascend
disconnect cause. For instance, on a Pipeline, you can go into terminal

mode and do a "show ISDN" and a history of ISDN disconnect causes will
be
listed. However, there are no associated progress codes. In one of the

pipeline manuals is a list of ISDN cause codes with explanation.

On the MAX, you should see disconnect cause code and a progress code
associated with each disconnect. The disconnect cause indicates the
symptom that triggered the MAX to initiate a disonnect and the progress
code indicates how much progress was made in the session before the
disconnect occurred.

I was not watching on the Max the last time we tried, I will next time
to watch for a cause code. They are using a Cisco 760 or 770 ISDN
router.

BTW, Isn't the Ascend-Disconnect-Cause the same as the ISDN disconnect
cause?

Thanks

Is there a cause code being reported on the MAX when the session fails
to
come all the way up. Which ISDN TA are you using. If it is a pipeline,

what does it show for the ISDN disconnect cause?

I am trying to configure ISDN connections to an Ascend 4004. I have
configured the PRI and am able to connect on that circuit using an
analog modem. When I try to connect from an ISDN terminal adapter the
connection starts to come up, then gets dropped.

I get the following from Radius accounting.

Mon May 17 14:18:07 1999
	NAS-IP-Address = 207.49.236.26
	NAS-Port = 20102
	NAS-Port-Type = Async
	Acct-Status-Type = Stop
	Acct-Delay-Time = 0
	Acct-Session-Id = "275059490"
	Ascend-Disconnect-Cause = 185
	Ascend-Connect-Progress = 31
	Ascend-Data-Rate = 0
	Ascend-PreSession-Time = 34
	Ascend-Pre-Input-Octets = 0
	Ascend-Pre-Output-Octets = 0
	Ascend-Pre-Input-Packets = 0
	Ascend-Pre-Output-Packets = 0
	Caller-Id = "2482031391"
	NAS-Port-DNIS = "4305"

Is there something I am missing in the configuration?
