(ASCEND) CMX rpoblems

hi,
we have a MaxTNT version 7.0.4.
we have four  48modem-56k-card (two slots). we have replaced them with
seven CMX cards (one slot only). some of our analog users couldn't
establish the connection and were disconnected by the TNT: disconnect
code - 120 progress type - 30. i talked to one of our user with Boca
modem, and he couldn't connect when i had to CMX and connected easily,
when i have downgraded to the 48modem-56k-card (two slots).
doesn't the CMX support some of the modems? do the need some special
string? we can't upgraded again until we have the answer to those
problems.
