(ASCEND) STAC problems with P50

Hi there...

I have a Pipeline 50, a 613xxxx serial (w/ the switch on the back) that works
great with the 6.0.9 b.50 code. Problem I'm experiencing is that after I enable
STAC-9 and dial back into a Portmaster 4, the connection is fine and I can tell
STAC is working as ASCII transfers are zooming along, however after five or six
transfers of 400K files, it seems that the Pipe loses its route to the WAN and
I have to drop the connection to regain routing. Has a fix for this been developed
or am I stuck with an *expensive* doorstop now? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

BTW, the problem I'm having seems to have been discussed a while back but I can't
seem to find any resolution in the list archives or on usenet so I'm tossing it out
here for the Ascend gurus...
