Just my thought, but I don't think it's necessary to attach files like this
to postings to the mailing list. When you do, it is sent out to all 1600+
people
on the list - of whom probably a very small %age are going to be interested.
Maybe we could in future post such files on a common FTP site - with a
pointer to
it? [How to avoid abuse of such a resource?]
For me, it saves disk space and unnecessary deleting of files; for the
server it
saves sending the same attachment 1600 times!
