Re: (ASCEND) LT Win Modems
Maybe Ascend could use it's contacts with Lucent, or ask Rockwell to
pressure Lucent into giving us some kind of response on this. Even if
Lucent is trying to pass this off as an OEM situation, Ascend should be
able to get a quick response out of them due to it's sheer size and
partnering agreements, where the little guy gets ignored.
Of course, this would be after confirming that Lucent IS making these
modems. I'm sure Compaq et al, are stuck in the middle, not knowing a
thing about these modems other than a generic init string.
If this doesn't work, and others would be willing to "sign on the line",
I'd be willing to contact them as a group representitive on behalf of
anyone who can send me a note authorizing such, along with as many details
as possible regarding any problems you've been having.
