(ASCEND) IBM Thinkpad 701 modem connecting to a 400x
I have a customer using an IBM Thinkpad 701C with an internal 14.4 modem
running under Win 3.1 trying to connect to a Max 400x. He gets
authenticated but then the connection drops after about 30-60 seconds. I
have used my pc and connected using his profile and can stay connected, he
has tried it with a different laptop (Compaq) and it worked fine. So that
tells me that the MAX doesn't like his IBM Thinkpad modem (surprise,
surprise)......
I went in and edited his modems2.ini file with the following init
string......
InitString=AT&FX4&C1&D3&K3&Q6\N7\Q3%C1S7=60
The customer initially had.....
InitString=ATE1B1&SW1&D2\N7&K3%C1B1S7=60
Anybody have any ideas....??????
