(ASCEND) 4048 and Radius Authertication

Is there a way to totally disable Authentication on a 4048 to a radius server?

We are running Max 4048 (ver 7.0.22 , load ftik.m40) an presently
authenticating through a Unix machine running Ascend Radius. If this server
goes down, our second choice will take over.  In the event that both would
act up, it would be helpful if we were able to totally disable the radius
authentication altogether. 
We have treid going into 

Ethernet > Modconfig> AUTH 
Setting authentication to NONE

Eth > Modconf > ACCOUNTING
Setting setting ACCT to none

Neither of theses were the answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
