Re: (ASCEND) Link M - Pipe 50
Nonsense.
I've been running my Pipe-75 with reversed spid order to be able to select
the line that I want for inbound voice calls without having to disrupt the
single B-channel data call in progress.
You see, the P75 by default sets up the 1st data call on the 1st spid in
the configuration table, exactly opposite of how my USR Courier I-Modem
worked. But because I had been using the IModem for so long I had given
that number associated with the 1st spid out to people who needed to call
me. Ergo it was primarily a voice number and I wanted to keep it that
way.
Personally I cannot understand why the order of the spids would matter
from a functionality standpoint, as long as you keep them in order with
their associated directory numbers. The AT&T/Lucent 5E sure doesn't care
and I don't think the DMS-100 does either so why would the Pipeline?
