We are using NAT with routers that are nailed connections to a max4000.
The router has but one IP (no DHCP in use). NAT mapping is setup to point
to their web and mail server so all references to their site from the
outside world go through the same IP, the IP of the WAN. We are running
5.1Ap8.

What seems to happen is about every 24hrs all traffic stops going through.

Also, I really wish pinging would work when in NAT mode -- Our monitoring
software uses ping to see what is up and what is not... It does let
someone from the inside ping something in the world but I have no way of
pinging the router from the max4000 side.

I opened a ticket on Friday and had already gone home before I heard
back... I will that open ticket shortly... Next time my customer says it
stopped routing, I will try a 'hangup' on the session forcing ppp to
reconnect... I wonder if this solves anyhing.....

I consider this a disasterous problem... I hope there is a workaround or
something...
