(ASCEND) csmx woes (again)
Hi all,
Setup:
MaxTNT
TAOS 7.0.4
Shelf 1 ( standalone ):
{ shelf-1 slot-1 0 } UP 4/1ether-card
{ shelf-1 slot-2 0 } UP 8t1-card
{ shelf-1 slot-3 0 } UP csmx-card
{ shelf-1 slot-4 0 } UP csmx-card
{ shelf-1 slot-5 0 } UP csmx-card
{ shelf-1 slot-7 0 } UP csmx-card
{ shelf-1 slot-9 0 } UP 48modem-56k-card
{ shelf-1 slot-10 } OCCUPIED
{ shelf-1 slot-16 0 } UP 8t1-card
I had hoped that 7.0.4 would fix the chipset reboots in the csmx cards.
Here is a sample from the syslog:
Apr 7 18:08:35 10.10.11.2 1/7: ../csmxdrv.c:6241 - chips 0x14 reboot
requested

requested
Apr 8 06:16:22 10.10.11.2 1/4: ../csmxdrv.c:6273 - chips 0x1 reboot

This is, of course, interspersed with messages such as:
Apr 7 17:52:54 10.10.11.2 1/7: ../csmxdrv.c:6312, Modem channel #7 is
ready for restart
Apr 7 17:52:54 10.10.11.2 1/7: ../csmxdrv.c:6312, Modem channel #8 is
ready for restart
Naturally, customers are being disconnected and are not really happy.
Has anyone received anything from Ascend regarding this issue???
