Re: (ASCEND) TNT vs MAX, lower connect rates
Usually it's the opposite here in this environment, When I replace my
4004's with TNT's right off the batt users start getting better connect
rates. There are a number of items you can check, first make sure that
your T1's are clean open into the slot :
t1-1/1> t1-stats 1
DS1 Line 1:
CRC Errors: 5
Frame Slips: 2
Framing Bit Errors: 2
Out of Frame Events: 1
Line Code Violations: 2
t1-1/1>
Also you can play with the modem settings :
[in TERMINAL-SERVER:modem-configuration]
v42/mnp = will-v42
max-baud-rate = 33600-max-baud
modem-transmit-level = -13-db-mdm-trn-level
cell-mode-first = no
cell-level = -18-db-cell-level
7-even = no
modem-mod = v90-modulation
AT-answer-string = ""
Good Luck.
