(ASCEND) odd web performance

Hi
we have a customer with a pipe130 and a 512 K leased line going into it.
Mail goes in just fine. web has a weird problem - they browse sites really
fast and then it seems to stop, wait a bit and then catch up again. the
customer is muttering about buffering on the pipeline, but they also have
checkpoint firewall 1 and a web proxy. Anyone else seen these problems with
large leased lines on ascend pipeline boxes ? Code revision is 6.0.0.
