You can run between two DSL pipes, but one needs to be purchased as the
C.O. end. Otherwise you need a DSLTNT for xDSL or a Max 4000 or 6000 for IDSL.

It's 2B1Q encoding which is the same as ISDN uses. The point is that this
is a nailed up line that might not have a per-minute charge and doesn't
take up space at the C.O. switch.

Yes, you can read all about it in the manual. Download it for free. I don't
know about the other vendors.

I haven't heard about VDSL in over a year. It's for very high speed mainly
for video. But it can only be carried a few hundred feet and hasn't got
much attention AFAIK.
