RE: (ASCEND) Release 6.1.7
I have multiple max 4000's, v.34 and v.90, and have had 6.1.7 running on both for some time with no apparent problems. Of course I do get the usual connection speed complaints from certain users. I assume that they are line quality issues as most users that are close to a CO don't have problems.

Sorry to confuse you there. I have multiple MAX 4000's some with v.34 and
other with 56k.
I want to get the 56k up to V.90, which is the most stable software that is
v.90 capable.
