Re: (ASCEND) 5.1Ap4 to 6.1.3 - also, which models can be TFTP-upgraded?
Not directly related, but I just upgraded an older P75 directly from
5.0A to 6.0.9 (apparently the latest release with a b.p75 image) with
great success.
Unless I'm deluding myself, there's a great performance boost, at least
in the NAT.
Which brings up another question: is there a *definitive* list
somewhere of which models can be TFTP upgraded? The FAQ says:
"As of software rev 4.4B, certain units can also be upgraded using TFTP.
Currently, only the Max 4000/HP and "revB" Pipeline 50 units".
I suspect this is well-outdated, but I haven't seen a definitive list
anywhere else, though I have seen statements in the list to the effect
you can do it with "just about any" Pipeline. I just took the plunge
with my P75 and got lucky.
