what hardware are you using for the "host" site?
what about the "remote"? T1/ISDN/64k/56k frame links?
do you know what switch the frame provider uses?
I have a mesh of frame links with two POPs connected to the telco cloud,
and each customer has a PVC to each POP, the closest POP geographicly
being prefered and the other as a backup.
I use Cisco gear on my side and P130s with various software versions
for the remote sites, and my telco uses Ascend/Cascade BSTDX 9000.
I used to have that same lockup on all the P130s whenever I would reboot
either of my ciscos, and the customer would have to power cycle them.
The problem was not trigered if I disconnected the T1 line from
the CSU connected to the cisco, only when the box would reboot
and presumably bad data gets down the serial data link.
Nothing in my network changed, including software versions on
the Pipelines or the Ciscos, but the problem disappeared.
