(ASCEND) TNT ISDN oddity..
I'm keep having customers reporting that they are having difficulty in
connecting to a TNT via ISDN, when they can connect to a Max 4K fine.
These ISDN boxes tend to be Bay networks (sigh), but it would be nice
to know what was going on. Steve Mulhearn mentioned to me that this
apperently is a known thing, and it is because the TNT is a little
keen in sending data at the start of a connection, before the remote end
is ready.
Is this true? TAC seem to know nothing about it. Sadly Steve is running
around the world doing SS7/C7 stuff, so I can't get hold of him.
While I have people's attension, anyone know of plans to get a C7 interface
for the TNT's? Switch Conc's are large, expensive and empty with a 1:1 config,
so I would love to do without them.. ;-)
Kind Regards
Martin
