(ASCEND) P75 + Call Forwarding

I have the EZ1 ISDN package from BellSouth which includes
call forwarding.  BellSouth's instructions for using
call forwarding say to push *51 (or some such) and then
enter the forwarding number.  However when I push *51
I just get a fast beeping tone (not a busy though).

My P75 is the newer style hardware (SN > 722xxxx) and
is running 6.0.2.  Any reason I should not be able to
use call forwarding with my pipeline?

ps - I checked the documentation and it only talks specifically
     about call waiting and call holding.
