(ASCEND) Ascend DSL questions

1) This may seem like a trivial but can I run xDSL between two Ascend
DSLPipelines ?  Or does one side need to be a Max or bigger with a
special xDSL line card?

2)  What's the point of IDSL if you don't get any more bandwidth than
128K?  What is ZB1Q Signaling?

3)  Is there any way to throttle the bandwidth of any of the DSL
technologies with Ascend equipment?  Other vendors?  Lucent?  Cisco?

4)  Are any vendors doing anything about VDSL?  I saw this for the first
time on Ascend's FAQ regarding DSL.


Any pointers to more info about DSL in general, vendors implementation.
or anything else will be greatly appreciated.
