Re: (ASCEND) DNS resolution bug

they've been known DNS problems in many OSs/programs when they come accross
domains that return many records. Initially DNS queries/resopnses were
designed to fit into single UDP packets. Older versions of DNS code had
problem with response packets that spilled over into multiple packets.
perhaps ascend's code is based on bind 4.8.3 or some other stable yet
outdated source.
