(ASCEND) Windows95 p/w prompt?



Once a while we have some Win95 users calling into our MAX4004 and receive
a user name & password prompt after connection is established.  User
authentication is done through PAP, and thus making this username/password
prompt meaningless.  The problem seems intermittent, as the same caller on
same computer could get in on the next call without the prompt.

I have verified that the user has indeed logged into Windows 95 before
initiating the call, and that "Log into Network" option is not selected in
Win95's dialup networking.

The users are authenticated via a RADIUS server on a remote site.  I have
thought about the possibility that maybe this happens when there is a
temporary disruption on the connectivity to the RADIUS server.  But I am
open to suggestions.
