(ASCEND) Multi-IP mode NAT Question

I have a Pipeline 75 using the newest 6.0 release software.  I need to
use multi-ip mode NAT so QuakeWorld will work with NAT.  In single-ip
NAT mode, quakeworld will not work due to a translation problem.

My problem is that I have to redial my ISP many times to get multi-ip
mode NAT to work. I use two different ISP's, one is Earthlink and one is
this one I am mailing from, and both have the same problem.  I can get
multi-ip mode NAT to work, but it takes many redials.  If it does not
work, my PC cannot ping or DNS or do anything on the net, but eventually
I am able to get my PC on the net after redialing many times with the
Pipeline.  I do not think multi-ip mode NAT should be forcing me to
redial so much in order to get it to work.  Does anyone have any ideas
on what would be causing this?
