This all sounds like someone is dialing into your max and running
pcAnywhere (congratulations to symantec for implementing the
crappiest host discovery protocol in existance). If I were you I
would either upgrade the MAX software, or define a filter for all
dialup customers that blocks incoming packets to UDP port 22.
