(ASCEND) SNMP traps

Hi,

according to ftp://ftp.ascend.com/pub/Doc/SNMP/doc/snmp.ps the MAX should 
be able to send 'linkDown' and 'linkUp' SNMP traps.

Is this supposed to work with current firmware releases? Or do I miss
something? SNMP traps in general seem to work, but I can't get 'linkDown',
whatever links I shut down. 

Any help ist greatly appreciated.
