(ASCEND) pipeline 75, idsl and 144K?
Ok, so I don't diligently read this list, but I searched the
archives and did not find an answer to my confusion.
I own a p75 rev 2 and am looking at moving from ISDN to idsl through
<isp of your choice>
Most of the ISP's that I spoke with said that p75's can do no more
than 128K over idsl and that I should opt for something like a
Flowpoint 144 if I want tha full deal.
However, I ran across an isp (transbay.net) that has on their web
site the following:
------
Reuse your Ascend or similar router for 144/144 service
If you're using an Ascend Pipeline (50 and above), you can reuse it
with the 144kbps symmetrical service, saving the cost of the
equipment as well. Other equipment which supports "LS56"
'leased-line service' might be able to support this as well. If you
have a box you'd like to reuse this way, be sure to mention it when
asking for a facilities check so we can check to see if your box
qualifies.
------
So I thought that you could not so 144 with a p75 because Ascends
software does not allow you do bond the D channel along with the 2
b's.
Anyone out there understand this stuff? Can I get 144K from a p75
with anyone???
