(ASCEND) Controlled Slips on a p220 (or others?)

Hi all,

I have a p220 (running 6.1.3) that is only using one ethernet interface,
and is connected via T1 (internal CSU / Rj45 port) to our provider.. I
seem to be getting 'CS' errors on the line, approx 1-2 per 'update' of the
ascend menu screen. The book describes CS as Controled slip errors , does
anyone have any clues for this? I just noticed this about 1wk ago, and the
p220 has been fine for several months(running older code, but I do not
recall it starting when I upgraded the code.. I could be wrong..)

The other end is a TNT (hopefully will be getting access to it shortly to
see what it sees for errors), using ESF , B8ZS nailed connection, LQM is
off, VJ compression is off, Line compression is off.. (I have toggled
them, they dont seem to alter the rate at which the errors are
happening).. Its not doing anything special (NAT,OSPF, VPN,IPsec,
filters etc). Just acting as a plain IP router.. running Ripv2 on the eth
interface..

The p220 is also slow to respond to pings on the 10mb switched network..
most of the time it is double digit ms times, and sometimes its triple
digit!

I have nvramclear'ed as I have upgraded its software, I am getting ready
now to nvramclear and fclear and start from scratch with it...

Any suggestions?
