I had e-mailed Ascend a while back with pretty much the same problems.
They had told me to fclear and nvram the box and configure it from
scratch. I thought it was just a cop-out, and couldn't see how that
could possibly fix it, but it did. No more leaks..... Still not sure why
it worked, but it did.
