Re: (ASCEND) Max 7.0b0 available
>FID 509574 MAX 1800 available with four BRI ports
Am I to understand that up until this point that the MAX 1800 could not
effectively bond 4 BRI ports (8 channels) together for outgoing or incoming
calls? If this is the case I would say that is a major problem with the way the
MAX 1800 is designed. Not every area of the US offers PRI ISDN service. A lot of
places that don't have PRI offer BRI. Bonding several BRI's together for a large
connection is suppose to be a feature of the MAX 1800. This is what I was told
both by my salesman and an Ascend rep that the MAX 1800 could bond all 8 BRI (16
channels) together with no problem if that is what I wanted to do.
I have opened a trouble ticket on the MAX 1800 not bonding over 4 channels
together consistently on outbound calls and it has been an open ticket for
several months now, and no one has ever said that it couldn't be done. They only
tested and looked for reasons as to why it didn't work.
If I am not understanding this correctly I apologize. But I would like to know
why the MAX 1800 has the problems that I mentioned and have an open ticket on.
