(ASCEND) Making Shotgun work
I've set up MP+ on my Max TNT 2.1.3 so that it can be called via Diamond's
Shotgun modems.
Here is the problem: Only about one out of four attempts to bring up the
second line succeeds. It logs in okay, but after 15-20 seconds it drops
out with a cause 2 disconnect. On the fourth try it stays up as long as it
is being used and drops after a few minutes of non-use even though
dial-on-demand is not being used on the modem side.
All my lines are CT1's. I know MP+ was designed for ISDN and that the
parameters in the answer-default profile are set for reasonable behavior
with ISDN. However, since it takes longer for analog modems to connect,
the settings are probably wrong for analog.
Has anyone successfully set up MP+ to work with Diamond's Shotgun modems?
What do I need to do to make it work reliably? When I called TAC, they
weren't aware that the TNT would do MP+ with analog modems :<
Thanks,
Tony
