(ASCEND) Modem Init String Needed

I have a user with a Lucent 56K 1641b(cpi) ??!! Modem  that is
experiencing  the "drop-off" performance that USR X2 modems are having.
I was able to work around this problem with the X2s' but havnt run into
it with any modem with a rockwell chipset. Anyone have an Init String
for this modem ??
Or any other advise?
