I don't think NFAS groups can span T1 cards. They didn't used to be able
to, and according to the 2.0.0 docs:

"ISDN-NFAS specifies Non-Facility Associated Signaling (NFAS). NFAS enables
a group of T1 lines on the SAME card to share a D channel. All NFAS lines
that share a D channel must use the same NFAS group ID.
You must configure one of the lines to provide the primary D channel and
secondary (backup) D channel. "

If that's still true in current releases, you'll need to have a primary
(and secondary if you choose to run secondary) D channel for each NFAS
group, one group per card.

Perhaps someone at Ascend can confirm this?

>Does using NFAS affect the "trunk-group" settings? If so, how?

No. It's still one trunk group for your situation.

>What settings do I need for nfas-group-id and nfas-id to do what I need?

Your first T1 card's PRIs will all be nfas-group 1. The second will all be
nfas-group 2.

nfas-id is the order of the T1s, so you'll just start at 0 and go up. You'
start at 0 again on the second T1 card.

No.

Correct.

No.
