Was about time ;) It wasn't all that nice because the same failure as with all versions before popped up: It dialed nonsense numbers or nothing at all. However, now knowing that it must work, we dived a bit into the debug mode and AT commands, and finally found it: It's an A-Law vs. u-Law issue ! Thus no American would ever notice the problem... All problems suddenly disappear if you send the modulation selection code: at+ms=56,1,300,33600,1,0 ^ This sets A-Law for us Europeans, and after that, dialing works like a charm. Seems that the Ascend decodes the DTMF the chips send upstream to him, and with the wrong x-Law, this fails badly. The bad thing actually is that users have to find this out... -- Kanther-Line: PGP SSH IDEA MD5 GOST RIPE-MD160 3DES RSA FEAL32 RC4 +-o-+--------------------------------------------------------+-o-+ | o | \\\- Brain Inside -/// | o | | o | ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | o | | o | Andre' Beck (ABPSoft) beck@ibh-dd.de XLink PoP Dresden | o | +-o-+--------------------------------------------------------+-o-+ ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

References:

(ASCEND) MaxDial / K56flex

From: Joerg Bauer <joerg@germany.net>

Re: (ASCEND) MaxDial / K56flex

From: Andre Beck <beck@ibh-dd.de>

Re: (ASCEND) MaxDial / K56flex

From: Joseph Bridgewater <ascned-users@max.bungi.com>

Re: (ASCEND) MaxDial / K56flex

From: Andre Beck <beck@ibh-dd.de>

Prev by Date: (ASCEND) RIP

Next by Date: RE: (ASCEND) NAT info and SNMP

Prev by thread: Re: (ASCEND) MaxDial / K56flex

Next by thread: Re: (ASCEND) MaxDial / K56flex

Index(es):

Main

Thread
