If a network connected user drops of one Ascend and pops up on another, the first Ascend keeps the route advertised for a while, or until it sees the route appear elsewhere. Bizarre but true. Thus there are always duplicated routes to some extent. Also with a triangulated network you inevitably see two routes to the same subnet. > 3. Turn off OSPF on unused interfaces. Ascend now acknowledge there is a problem and can repeat it in their labs on demand. Whether on not this will result in them fixing it, and distributing the results in a timely manner is of course an entirely different question.
