Be ware that you will have about 10ms latency that you wouldn't
have if you went with a better router (ie, Cisco)... for example:
This is from a Cisco 7513 to a 25xx on a cross town full T1 Frame Relay:
san-diego-7513#ping 206.64.35.14
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 206.64.35.14, timeout is 2 seconds:
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 8/8/8 ms
----
This is from the same 7513 to a P130 on a cross town 384k Frame Relay:
san-diego-7513#ping 206.251.146.78
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 206.251.146.78, timeout is 2 seconds:
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 16/19/32 ms
----
This if from the same 7513 to some weird Bay box on a cross town 384k
Frame Relay:
san-diego-7513#ping 10.0.0.14
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.0.0.14, timeout is 2 seconds:
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 12/12/16 ms
Basically, regardless of whether it can handle the bandwidth, it
is going to be slower than a 25xx Cisco. You save some money, but you lose
some speed.
