I've noticed sometime similar with Frame Relay links on a Max4004.

Originally, I had my Frame Relay link as wan8, after a reboot it became
wan16. I had to reconfigure my SNMP software to monitor it.

Is there some way to set the frame relay link to be a specific interface?
