(ASCEND) Q931 debug on Maxen?
Hello, All!
I have a question about MAX4000, MAX2000 and so on. I need the following:
the ability to see all the Q931 messages on D-channel in E1 DSLs. I need it
for debug purposes, and also to debug the handshaking between Maxen and
Telco switches. I tried to find the debug-mode command by using 'help
ascend' command, but I didn't find the required command. The 'PriDisp <n>'
gives me the hex codes of the D-channel, but I want to see the decoded Q931
messages. Is this possible?
Now I must use the very expensive E1 analysers to solve my problems, but
every MAX uses the E1 DSL drivers to communicate with Telco switch. I think
that there is a good reason for embedding the Q931 message decoder in Ascend
firmware to help people in solving problems. (I already use the R2 debug
commands to debug the R2 protocol, when I use installations with R2).
(As an example of the already solved problem I can demonstrate the ISDN BRI
equipment of the different manufacturers. E.g. Asuscom ISDNLink and Intel
Proshare can give me the detailed log of the D-channel activity, already
decoded. But all this equipment works only on ISDN BRI subscriber lines, not
PRI lines).
Thanx!
