I would say that setting the default gateway is probably part of the
problem, but I would think that you should also use an aproved set of IP
addresses.  (I think you could use 192.168.100.100 but I can't remember
the RFC and don't have my pilot handy)  Using IP Addresses that might
exist in a router table seems to me like it might be a bad thing to do,
even with NAT.
