(ASCEND) MAX 4000 + 56K modem cards = fire
Over a three month period, TWO, count 'em, TWO max 4000s melted down, one
caught on fire with the new 56K modem cards. One unit was 18 months old,
the other was 4 months old.
Someone in engineering needs to have their head examined. Both boxes were
hotter than hell to the touch at inspection.
I don't know what this is indicative of... but the eight PM3s on trial
are starting to look a lot better...
