(ASCEND) CSV & CSD
I called SWbell today to fix a BRI rollover problem and told them that ny
"technician" suggested that the BRI's bet set up with csv=1 and csd=1. By
default, SWBT sets up csv=1 and csd=2. This seems to cause problems on
analog calls even. It will give busies even if there are more lines in the
hunt group available.
I asked them why they would set it up this way and they said, "well its
trial and error...we set it up and see if the customer has any
problems..."
This is the stupidest thing Ive ever heard anyone at the special circuits
office say. It implies to me that they don't know what they are doing when
they are installing circuits. When I order groups like this, I tell them
EXACTLY what hardware is to be used and its exact usage. Why cant they
figure it out from that?
