(ASCEND) Obtaining username from assigned IP
I was wondering.....
My goal is to accomplish this:
I would like our users to have a customized greeting page when they first
start start their internet browser.
To accomplish this, I would like to write a PERL script that will allow me
to take the dynamically assigned IP address from our Ascend, and report back
a specific username. And of course, take this username and create HTML
depending on the user info, etc. etc. etc.
Is it possible to get that information (username from IP address) from the
Ascend? Also, is there a way to get information from the Ascend that would
show username, time on line, etc?
I would sincerely appreciate any feedback.
