Re: (ASCEND) Authentication times



Two things to look at here:

1) Ensure the only dialup networking protocols loaded in both
   the control panel of Win95 and the connection profile is 
   TCP/IP.  By default, Win95 installs NetBEUI and IPX/SPX
   which greatly slows down authentication time.

2) Ensure you are running the latest firmware (5.0Ap20).  I
   don't remember which, but one of the older releases had a
   bug which made Win95 connection times very long.

If that isn't it, then... hell, I don't know :)
