Strange and worrisome. I wonder, since its a Microsoft product, if it is
sending data to Microsoft about what you type via then internet.

Dunno, but I have seen where you need filters for some win 95 appz.

Rip should NOT affect the idle timeout afaik. Doesnt on livingstons
either.

Try running word, and monitoring the packet transmissions. Youll have to
do this anyway to see what socket # Word is apparently massaging.
