Default values are normally the best - that's why we chose them as default.
(There
are some cases where that may be questioned, and we usually change them if
there
is a good argument). As it states in the notes "it helps certain modems on
their
near-end-echo problems." It's not a fix-all, and is usually only changed
when you
are having problems with the default.
