Hi,
In Ascend RADIUS stop accounting packets, there is an attribute called
Ascend-First-Dest. This should be the destination IP address of the first IP
packet received from a user after authentication.
Why would anybody be interested in that?
If you want to know where a user has been on your site, you can check server
logs.
If you want to know sites the user is interested in, you can check the logs of
your http proxy.
Just getting the first destination gives you an idea of how users start their
sessions (do they first check their mail or news or ...?), but that's it.
Somebody must have requested this attribute, but why?
Does any of you have a clue?
Regards,
Marc.
