My 2¢...

Actually, I'd prefer not to see this. It means the Max has to make multiple
RADIUS queries when these users log in - to fetch their profile, and then
the profile that their profile sources. I also presume that this could go
on for several levels.

For speed at run time, I would sacrifice speed at 'compile' time and build
all the profiles, adding in any included profiles, stuff all of the
finished profiles into a database, and use the database to respond to
queries.

I have partially implemented this with patches to Ascend radiusd.

Speaking of RADIUS efficiency, I wonder if it would help performance for
the Max to have a RADIUS cache?
