Thanks for helping to confirm my suspicion. In an ideal world the FAQ
would be thorough and current. Unfortunately, the P50/75 FAQ has
neither of these qualities. I've emailed Ascend support asking when
this feature will be rolled in to the B version. This is my first
experience with their support so I'm (naively) hopeful that I'll get a
quick and satisfactory answer.
Since it is now obvious that I will have to upgrade the software in my
P75, I noticed that the documentation describing the upgrade procedure
says thou shall not use Windows-based communications software to perform
the update. Does anyone know why they would make such a statement?
Seems very odd to me.
