Re: (ASCEND) RADIUS - Blocking multiple logins by same user

I am looking for a solution for this myself. Ascend has a new
RADIUS coming out, that will reject multiple logins, however
whether it will support multiple authentication servers is still
unknown.

Right now, we currently have some nice scripts that do the job,
run every hour, that polls the ascends, finds the multiples,
disables their passwd, outputs to a nice web page, it does the
job, but we still want a better solution...that prevents it.
Of course now, we are billing the Lusers, you may consider that.
Hopefully ascends new RADIUS will be helpful.

If you are using 1 authentication server, you may consider
building a hash table that RADIUS will build upon authenticating,
and checks the table to see if the login exists. If so, it will
not proceed with the login.

Or you can poll the accounting logs, and check for multiples and
drop them, but of course this allows them to log in and then drops
them.

The TNT has a solution...but have not seen it or know about it.

I will keep you updated to our progress, and I would appreciate
if you do the same. What kind of setup do you have?
